Mary Frances Pratt (Canadian, 1935-2018) was one of Canada's most accomplished and significant figurative artists. This Newfoundland-based artist is known for her intimate depictions of domestic interiors and common objects and for her evocative treatment of light and reflection. Her work is nationally and internationally recognized, held in numerous prestigious collections including the National Gallery of Canada, the Vancouver Art Gallery, the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Beaverbrook Gallery, and Canada House, London, England.
